COVID-19 Status Update
At Lomita Pet Hospital, we strive to provide the best care for your best friend. We are also committed to keeping you, your pet and our team members safe. As the situation around COVID-19 continues to change, we want to assure you that we plan to remain open during our regular business hours and we will be taking the following precautions.
Appointments:
In order to protect our team members we request that if you are feeling sick or have symptoms associated with COVID-19, or if you have been in contact with anyone that has had a fever or possible COVID-19 exposure, please remain at home.
For all non-urgent appointments or procedures please wait until the Safer at Home order has been lifted to schedule them. If you are not sure if it’s something that can wait, please call us so that a doctor or team member can speak with you regarding your pet’s condition.
We are only offering curbside service at this time and we are asking clients not to enter the building so that we can minimize contact and practice social distancing.
When you arrive for your appointment please stay in your car and call us at 310-856-9443 to let our front staff know you have arrived and to tell them your vehicle type.
Our team member will come out to get your pet. We ask that all dogs be on leashes (we will be bringing out our own leash to replace with yours) and we ask that all cats be in carriers. We also ask that you wear a mask once our staff member approaches your car.
Once the doctor has examined your pet, he/she will call you with the exam findings, recommendations and will answer any further questions or concerns that you may have. Your call will then either be transferred to our team member who will review a treatment plan with you, or the team member will call you once a treatment plan has been made. You may choose to wait in your car during your pet’s examination or return at a later scheduled pick up time.
Once your pet is ready to go, we will call you to notify you and then collect payment over the phone. A team member will bring your pet to you, along with any instructions or medications dispensed.
Medication and Food Refills:
We ask that you request medication or food refills in advance via phone or email. As a reminder, medication requests can take up to 24 hours to be filled. We will contact you when your medication or food is ready to be picked up. Call us when you arrive at the hospital, payment will be taken over the phone, and we will bring the food or medication to your car. If you live nearby, we are also offering free drop off of your pet’s medications or food.
